Track Review: Deekline & Wizard “Bounce & Rebound” Remixes + Video
Deekline & Wizard are long known in the breakbeat scene for delivering funky big beat inspired dancefloor breaks with vocals and booty that hook you into the groove. Three months ago, they released their 2nd artist album Back Up, Coming Through on Against The Grain records; home of Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Skool of Thought. Big props to the duo on the album as it brings a variety of genres and tempos while also being solidly produced with the Deekline & Wizard magic.
Just released is the first set of remixes; this set for track #1, Bounce & Rebound. This track is a decidedly British breakbeat track weaved together in collaboration with jungle institution TopCat, UK hip hop exile Fallacy, gospel singer Vic Bynoe and the jazz scat sounds of Yolanda. The duo took it and turned to their global peers for their take on it. Who? How about Bassnectar, Beat Assassins, Fort Knox Five and Dustin Hulton. Yes!

Along with the remixes comes a Bounce & Rebound video with… get this… b-boys from the 1940’s. Check it out!
